MSN Admissions


Norwich seeks goal-oriented individuals who have high standards of personal ethics and have demonstrated excellence in their professional lives and academic studies. Applicants should have a desire to make a positive contribution to their field. Selective admissions criteria are intended to ensure that those admitted will succeed in a rigorous academic environment.

Admission Criteria

The ideal candidate should have:
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a regionally accredited academic program with a minimum 3.0 grade point average
  • An active license as a registered nurse in state of practice that is unencumbered
  • A minimum of one year practice as a registered nurse
  • Proof of English language proficiency (if English was not the language of degree study)

Applicants not meeting these criteria will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Application Process

Call an Admissions Advisor to begin the application process and submit:
  • Personal statement
  • Two letters of recommendation (one must be from a supervisor)
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • Agency Agreement (signed by Nurse Manager)
  • RN License
  • Resume
  • Application form and fee ($50)
  • Proof of English language proficiency (if applicable)
  • Official Graduate Record Exam (GRE) for applicants not meeting GPA requirements
Applicants not meeting all of the criteria will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
